Terms of Service

Effective July 16, 2026

Strumhold is a guitar practice app operated by Oxware, LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("Oxware", "we"). By using Strumhold — the app at strumhold.app or this site — you agree to these terms.

What Strumhold is

Strumhold drills guitar chord changes: it plays a beat, listens through your device's microphone, and scores your changes. The practice features are free and run in your browser, on your device, with no account. An optional paid subscription ("Sync") backs up your practice history and keeps it in sync across your devices.

Your account

You only need an account for Sync. You sign in with Google; keep access to that Google account secure, since anyone who can use it can use your Strumhold account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, or have a parent or guardian's permission.

Subscriptions and billing

Your practice data

Your practice history is yours. It lives on your device; if you subscribe to Sync, a copy is stored on our servers so your other devices can pull it. We claim no ownership of it, and if your subscription ends you keep everything already on your device. See the privacy policy for the details.

Acceptable use

Don't abuse the service: no attempting to break, overload, or probe it, no reselling it, and no using it in a way that breaks the law. We may suspend accounts that do.

Availability and changes

Strumhold is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We work to keep it reliable, but we don't promise uninterrupted service, and we may change or discontinue features. The free practice features run on your device and keep working offline regardless of our servers.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Oxware's total liability for any claim arising out of Strumhold is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. Continuing to use Strumhold after that means you accept the change.
